The 'roadblock' to reliable Wi Fi access
Like other institutions, schools now have an increasingly strong demand for network connectivity. In the past few years, providing a stable network for teachers and students to use online learning tools, healthy online content, e-books, and conduct online assessments in real-time has become as important as providing traditional textbooks.
However, a large number of concurrent users simultaneously accessing the internet has put pressure on the school's existing network. At present, Hasseris High School has over 1500 wireless devices, with plans to reach 2500 in the future, of which nearly 1000 devices are connected to the network every day (excluding personal wireless devices). To meet this demand, building a fast, reliable, and secure wireless network has become the key to future growth.
The school's IT team has realized the urgency of building a next-generation Wi Fi 6 network that can replace wired networks and provide excellent coverage of all scenarios, including classrooms, auditoriums, and offices. In addition, the school's IT team hopes to simplify network management and accelerate the deployment of new businesses by introducing cloud management.
In order to provide every student with an excellent learning experience, Hasseris High School is determined to deploy an innovative solution that provides secure connectivity and reliable coverage for all school facilities. Considering that the school will introduce more cloud services and platforms in the future, Hasseris High School hopes that the network infrastructure can calmly meet this demand.

Elastic expansion of new wireless technology, reaching a new level of mobility for teachers and students
At the beginning of the project, Hasseris High School hoped to find a high-end Wi Fi solution that could not only achieve real-time analysis and monitoring, automation, and intelligent operation and maintenance (O&M), but also provide high-quality wireless services and comprehensively improve performance. To this end, Hasseris High School conducted a thorough investigation of existing manufacturers' products and conducted PoC testing on devices from major mainstream manufacturers.
Thomas Fogg Thomsen, IT Manager at Hasseris High School, said, "In February 2020, we conducted PoC testing on products from multiple high-end Wi Fi vendors, and soon we identified Huawei. For our school, Wi Fi is a crucial infrastructure, with over 1500 devices online simultaneously. The network must be stable and reliable, providing ultra fast connectivity. Through comprehensive PoC testing, we have strengthened our confidence in choosing Huawei. ”
Huawei has always been customer-centric, responding promptly to customer needs, and Huawei products have mature performance. After several rounds of technical discussions, Hasseris High School ultimately decided to choose Huawei CloudCampus solution and deploy AirEngine Wi Fi 6. The Huawei CloudCampus solution has multiple advantages such as rapid deployment, simplified management, and rich advanced applications, helping customers build the core competitiveness of the cloud era.
For this project, Huawei provided a small box type wireless access controller AC6508, a high-end Wi Fi 6 wireless access point AirEngine AP7060, and a flagship Wi Fi 6 indoor wireless access point AirEngine 8760-X1-PRO, along with Huawei CloudEngine S series campus switches.
In order to reduce OPEX and operational costs, Huawei also recommended Huawei's next-generation autonomous driving park network control system iMaster NCE Campus to Hasseris High School. This system implements GUI based network planning and deployment, supports automated and intelligent network management, and enables business deployment in minutes, greatly simplifying network deployment and shortening network construction cycles.
In addition, Huawei also provides the iMaster NCE CampusInsight, a campus network analyzer. By analyzing user data at every moment, we provide an excellent network business experience, help solve network anomalies, and quickly optimize the network in real-time.
Get on the Wi Fi "fast train" and step towards the "highland" of education
The Huawei CloudCampus solution is based on advanced cloud management architecture and has created a one-stop network management center for Hasseris High School, achieving automated and intelligent network management, making network status checks simpler and the network more secure, thus calmly responding to the continuous growth in the number and demand of wireless users on campus. The school's IT team also firmly believes that the new system can smoothly expand in the future, supporting the school's subsequent expansion of student enrollment and development of faculty, and providing strong support for the school's sustained and rapid development in the future.
Now, Hasseris High School teachers and students can easily access the internet from anywhere on campus through various terminals such as mobile phones, tablets, and computers, facilitating collaboration between teachers and students. When the school holds major events, even with dense crowds, teachers and students can enjoy uninterrupted Wi Fi service. This is thanks to the fast performance and stable experience of Huawei AirEngine Wi Fi 6 under high concurrency access.
