Huawei collaborates with clients to jointly launch smart aviation solutions, driving intelligent transformation and upgrading in the aviation industry

[China, Shanghai, September 18, 2025] During the Huawei Global Connect 2025 conference, the Global Aviation Forum themed "Embarking on a Smart Journey, Traveling with Peace of Mind" was successfully held in Shanghai. The event brought together aviation experts, corporate representatives, and industry leaders from around the world to explore the innovative applications and practices of AI and digital technologies in the aviation sector. At the forum, Huawei collaborated with clients to jointly launch smart aviation solutions, supporting the secure and efficient operation of business operations.

Shen Surong, COO of Huawei's Smart Transportation Division, stated in her speech that AI represents not only a technological leap but also a strategic force to reshape the aviation experience and redefine industry dynamics. We are deeply integrating the most advanced AI into all operational scenarios, including airport operations, passenger experiences, airline services, and safety prevention, to drive innovation.

Li Zongling, Director of the Professional Working Committee of the China Air Transport Association, stated at the conference that China's passenger transport market exhibits the characteristic of "accelerated expansion of the aviation population in lower-tier markets." Compared to 2019, the share of new passenger flows in first-tier and new first-tier cities has declined, while third- and fourth-tier cities have shown significant growth, becoming a key driver of expansion. Each technological leap brings opportunities for industry restructuring. Huawei's proposed concepts of "comprehensive intelligence," "multimodal capabilities," and "explosive reasoning power" align closely with the current strategic shift in the aviation industry from safeguarding to advancement. We look forward to collaborating with Huawei and its ecosystem partners to introduce precise and controllable AI capabilities into core aviation scenarios, ensuring safety while unlocking the efficiency and experiential benefits brought by intelligent technologies.

Shanghai Eastern Airlines Digital Technology Co., Ltd. Chairman Gao Zhidong emphasized that Eastern Airlines is accelerating the AI2.0 strategy, relying on private cloud and large model digital intelligence base, covering 227 high-value scenarios, and achieving business intelligence upgrading through the collaboration of large and small models. In the construction of digital apron, production factor detection and apron visualization are utilized to achieve "visibility", while intelligent vehicle scheduling and node detection are used to achieve "controllability". Combined with flight prediction and scheduling optimization, "accurate measurement" is implemented, ultimately forming a cross domain all factor collaborative support system. In response to the high-quality development requirements of China Eastern Airlines Group, China Eastern Airlines Digital Science and Technology Co., Ltd. will focus on the "253" construction concept of two types of models, five major measures, and three major guarantees, promote the deep application of AI, create an AI system that is available to all employees, and achieve the goals of cost reduction, income increase, quality improvement, experience optimization, and brand enhancement.

Lin Qinkang, Deputy General Manager of the Digital Management Center of Shenzhen Airport Group, proposed at the meeting that intelligent agents should be embedded into the system and integrated into the process to truly provide intelligent and integrated service experiences for passengers and employees. Based on Huawei Ascend's computing power base, Shenzhen Airport has localized the deployment of AI models and explored the "AI+" empowerment of high-quality airport development. Innovative AI applications such as intelligent customer service, security assistant, and contract assistant provide employees with efficient services such as intelligent business processing, security policy consultation, and contract review, with key process efficiency increased by over 60%.

The development of future smart airports is a long-term process that requires continuous promotion of digital transformation, exploration of value scenarios, upgrading of networks and infrastructure to meet the needs of emerging scenarios and technologies. Ahmad Fazree Bin Ahmad Fuad, IT Service Architect at Malaysia Airport Holdings Limited, believes that personnel, processes, and technology are key elements in ensuring the implementation of the "Airport 4.0" strategy at Malaysia's airports. Huawei provides network infrastructure, digital intelligence platforms, and 5G technology to provide strong technical support for the digital and intelligent application of "Airport 4.0".

Lin Yuanqing, founder and CEO of Aibee (Beijing) Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., emphasized that Aibee Intelligent is based on the Ascend AI basic software and hardware platform, and has jointly launched a smart airport solution with Huawei. Through spatial intelligence technology, it comprehensively digitizes the "field, people, things, vehicles, and aircraft" of the airport, realizing scenario based solutions such as passenger flow management, flight support node collection, runway intrusion prevention, etc., empowering security prevention and control, operation management, and passenger services.

Passenger experience, safety, and efficiency are eternal themes in the aviation industry. Based on this, the application of new technologies, as well as how to achieve efficient collaboration, connect multimodal transport processes, and build green airports, are also directions of concern for the industry. Rachad Nassar, Global Business and Strategic Partner Director of Huawei's Transportation Intelligence Corps, mentioned that while providing aviation customers with a wide range of stable networks and reliable digital intelligence bases, Huawei is also actively embracing AI. Together with our partners, we have launched AI solutions for airports and airlines, continuously innovating with our customers and leading the development of industry intelligence.

At the meeting, Huawei and Xiamen Airlines jointly released a joint innovation scenario plan for airline AI big models, empowering core business areas such as aviation safety, passenger services, and operational control with artificial intelligence. The plan covers intelligent agents for analyzing safety reports, intelligent service agents, and intelligent assistants for interpreting navigation notices, accelerating the intelligent transformation and high-quality development of the aviation industry

Looking towards the future, Huawei will continue its "platform+ecosystem" strategy, deepen collaborative innovation with global aviation customers and ecosystem partners, and jointly explore the infinite possibilities of smart aviation. By creating an open, symbiotic, and win-win industrial ecosystem, Huawei is committed to bringing the digital world into every aircraft, airport, and route, empowering the global aviation industry to fly more steadily, higher, and farther on the path of high-quality development.
