[Shenzhen, China, October 25, 2025] At the First Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence Hospital Construction and Development Conference, Shenzhen People's Hospital signed a cooperation framework agreement with Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huawei"). Under the agreement, the two parties will collaborate on the construction of AI hospitals and intelligent "multi-campus" systems to enhance the digital and intelligent capabilities of Shenzhen People's Hospital, establish a nationally leading model of smart hospitals, and inject strong momentum into the integrated development of healthcare and technology.
Wang Guangsuo, Deputy Director of Shenzhen People's Hospital, and Sheng Kai, Director of the Shenzhen Government and Enterprise Business Department at Huawei, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. Li Chuang, Deputy Director of the Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission, Geng Qingshan, Director of Shenzhen People's Hospital and Deputy Party Committee Secretary, and Zhang Weili, President of the Western Division of Huawei's Healthcare Division, attended the signing ceremony.
Geng Qingshan, President and Deputy Party Committee Secretary of Shenzhen People's Hospital, stated that this signing marks a new phase in the collaboration between the two parties. Seizing this opportunity, Shenzhen People's Hospital will work closely with Huawei in strengthening digital and intelligent infrastructure, building an AI-powered hospital, constructing a HarmonyOS healthcare ecosystem, and creating exemplary benchmarks for innovative smart medical technology applications. This partnership aims to accelerate the development of a high-level, research-oriented modern hospital, further advancing the digital and intelligent transformation of China's healthcare sector.
Zhang Weili, President of Huawei Healthcare Corps (West), pointed out that Huawei has global leading technological advantages in the underlying architecture and engineering capabilities of artificial intelligence systems, and has always adhered to the principle of using "root" technology to support the development of medical digitization, truly transforming technology into clinical value. Huawei looks forward to working hand in hand with industry customers and partners to drive innovation through scenarios, and jointly promote artificial intelligence to truly take root in hospitals, serve clinical practice, and benefit the people.
At the meeting, Shenzhen People's Hospital, together with partners such as Huawei and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), jointly released a distributed handheld AI ultrasound system based on 5.5G network. The system integrates 5.5G, cloud storage, cloud computing, and AI big model technology, making it the "ultrasound expert in the doctor's pocket". It can achieve distributed collaborative diagnosis and treatment, AI real-time assisted diagnosis, and other functions, which will help to solve the "last mile" problem of grassroots diagnosis and treatment. The 5.5G network with zero latency and high reliability ensures real-time transmission of professional grade high-quality ultrasound images. The built-in AI algorithm can automatically identify lesions and normal tissues and measure parameters, effectively improving diagnostic efficiency and quality.
This signing is another sublimation of the cooperation between Shenzhen People's Hospital and Huawei. In the future, Huawei will take the needs of Shenzhen People's Hospital as the core, further introduce cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data into the field of hospital information construction, build a more complete and efficient information system for Shenzhen People's Hospital, and help the hospital build a high-level smart hospital model based in the Greater Bay Area and facing the world.
