Huawei Wi Fi 6 Helps Thailand's Vejthani Hospital Transform into a Smart Hospital in Three Steps of Network Evolution

After in-depth analysis of Vejthani Hospital's network demands, Huawei proposed a Software Defined Network (SDN) architecture solution and planned a "three-step network evolution" to ultimately create intelligent connectivity and help Vejthani Hospital transform into a smart hospital.

Phase 1: Deploy Wi Fi 6 network in pilot buildings, install 65 AP devices for the first time, so that medical staff and patients can access the internet at high speed in every corner of the hospital's open area. Not only that, medical staff can also easily access cloud services, and various internal systems of the hospital are uniformly wirelessly hosted, including laboratory information systems (LIS), medical imaging archiving and communication systems (PACS), and hospital information systems (HIS). At the same time, it can also face the future and calmly respond to emerging applications.

Phase 2: Deploy new Wi Fi 6 networks on a large scale in other buildings of the hospital to fully utilize the hospital's emerging software. To this end, Huawei proposed to expand the network by replacing the original core switches with new switches of larger specifications (with 25/40/100 GE high-density ports), and deploying an additional 351 AP devices.

Phase 3: With the support of intelligent technologies such as 5G and AI analysis, further enhance the system.

Huawei provides end-to-end devices, including:

416 brand new Wi Fi 6 AP devices, supporting multi rate links with a system speed of up to 5.76 Gbps

2 multi rate core switches, supporting 5G speed, providing high reliability, large bandwidth and other features

Two redundant backup 10 Gigabit data center switches

3 sets of iMaster NCE (Note: iMaster NCE is Huawei's new generation of autonomous driving network management and control system for campus networks, which has autonomous monitoring, fault perception, proactive prevention, and maintenance functions, greatly reducing the workload of IT personnel and ensuring system continuity.)
