The core technical advantages of Huawei Wi-Fi 7
Wider channel & higher-order modulation:
320MHz ultra-wide bandwidth: An ultra-wide channel width of 320MHz is achieved in the 6GHz frequency band (not yet open in China) or through channel aggregation (such as 5GHz+5GHz or 5GHz+2.4GHz), which is twice that of Wi-Fi 6 (160MHz), providing a "superhighway" for data transmission.
4K-QAM: By adopting the higher-order 4096-QAM modulation technology (compared with 1024-QAM of Wi-Fi 6), under the same channel width, the single-stream data transmission rate is increased by 20%.
Multi-link operation
This is one of the most revolutionary technologies of Wi-Fi 7. Huawei's MLO technology enables terminal devices to simultaneously transmit and receive data on multiple different frequency bands (such as 2.4GHz, 5GHz, 6GHz) or on different channels within the same frequency band.
Core value:
Significantly enhance throughput: Aggregate the bandwidth of multiple links to achieve a peak rate far exceeding that of a single link.
Significantly reduce latency: Data packets can be transmitted in parallel through multiple links, avoiding queuing delay caused by congestion on a single link, which is particularly crucial for real-time applications such as VR/AR, online games, remote control, and industrial automation.
Enhance reliability: When the quality of a link is poor or it is interrupted, data can be seamlessly switched to other available links to ensure that services are not interrupted.
Enhanced multi-resource unit
It allows channel resources to be allocated more flexibly and precisely to different users or applications, enabling more efficient utilization of spectrum resources even in the presence of interference, thereby enhancing the concurrent efficiency of multiple users and the overall capacity of the network.
"Prefix code punching:"
When a part of the channel (such as 20MHz) is occupied by radar or other interference, traditional Wi-Fi devices will abandon the use of the entire channel (such as 80MHz). The "preleading code punching" technology of Wi-Fi 7 allows devices to skip the interfered segments and continue to use the unococcupied parts of the channel (such as the remaining 60MHz), significantly improving the spectrum utilization efficiency and anti-interference ability.
Enhancement of spatial reuse technology
The BSS Coloring (Basic Service Set Coloring) and spatial reuse mechanisms have been enhanced, enabling interference from adjacent aps to be identified and handled more intelligently in densely deployed environments (such as enterprise offices, shopping malls, and stadiums), and allowing more aps to be transmitted efficiently simultaneously in the same area.
Huawei's self-developed RF technology and smart antennas:
With its profound accumulation of RF technology in the field of communication, Huawei has optimized the RF front-end design and antenna performance of Wi-Fi 7 products, providing stronger signal coverage, more stable connection and higher energy efficiency ratio.
