Since the beginning of its construction, Ningde Factory has been following the planning concept of "flexibility, digitization, automation, and dataization", laying out along the southeast coast and planning to become a "carrier base" for SAIC's innovative development. In terms of digital transformation, SAIC has formulated the "1+4" digital transformation strategy, where "1" represents product digitization, namely intelligent connected vehicles. The "4" refers to digital marketing centered on precise user profiling and user experience reconstruction, intelligent manufacturing based on industrial interconnection and big data integration, digital research and development based on software defined hardware, and smart parks centered on flexible collaborative work. Behind every key strategic transformation project, there is a key keyword - ICT connectivity. The diverse manufacturing processes, complex application scenarios, large amounts of production data, dispersed production spaces, and labor require stable, reliable, and intelligent networks to connect people, machines, and objects together, breaking the isolation and isolation of traditional factories, and ultimately achieving interconnectivity of all elements of the industrial system in smart factories, completing the innovation of intelligent production and networked collaboration in the automotive industry.

Internet of Things Intelligent Workshop Machines Replace Human Labor
The body workshop of Ningde factory is equipped with a total of 511 robots, with a welding automation rate of 99%; The paint workshop adopts 100% robot automatic spraying technology, and the numerous robots and assembly facilities in the workshop have different requirements for network bandwidth and latency. At the same time, the replacement of paper documents and the promotion of paperless operation mode have led to the extensive use of wireless handheld devices by workshop workers to complete production tasks, and real-time data collection also requires strong network support.

To this end, at the beginning of the planning of the Ningde factory, Huawei's campus network planning tool was used for engineering survey, and Huawei's more stable and faster new generation AP was selected, which was integrated with IoT and can connect more than 500 vehicles in production, more than 2000 intelligent terminal devices, and over 10000 sensors. Big data technology and regression algorithms were also used to proactively warn 1000+devices, reducing unplanned downtime by 20%.

In order to solve the above problems, the factory has implemented a unified management plan for the installation location, installation method, and channels of APs. The high throughput, low latency, and intelligent wireless RF optimization features of Huawei's new generation AP meet the needs of high traffic businesses such as daily office high-definition video conferencing and cross base information transmission in the Ningde factory; The new generation AP adopts Huawei's smart antenna technology, which has a coverage radius 20% farther than traditional antennas, providing users with zero dead angle network coverage and a better network experience with fewer APs.

Based on advanced office networks, Ningde Factory has achieved digitization, automation, and intelligence in various management processes. As an industrial big data platform, it can connect over 700 component suppliers online, with accurate and transparent inventory information. The internal supply arrangement of the factory is more efficient, warehouse management is more refined, transportation planning is more economical, and the timely delivery rate is ≥ 95%. The on-site logistics area is saved by about 12%.

Ultra wide network intelligent operation and maintenance AI replaces traditional methods
The business of Ningde factory is complex and huge, with a large number of equipment that needs to upload process data to the data platform during the production process, as well as a large number of real-time services such as AGV scheduling; The large-scale use of office video conferencing has also doubled network traffic, and there is frequent data exchange between the office network and production network every day. The Huawei CloudEngine series switches and HiSecEngine USG6650 firewall provide ultra-high performance to ensure network isolation and non-interference, while also achieving 10 Gigabit throughput and uplink access, providing a smooth pipeline for uploading large amounts of process data.

At the same time, the iMaster NCE autonomous driving network management and control system has achieved refined operation and maintenance of the Wi Fi network in the Ningde factory. From the traditional reliance on human visual monitoring, administrators can now monitor the real-time usage and device online status of each Wi Fi user. Once a problem occurs, it only takes a few minutes to locate it, identify the root cause of the problem, and propose effective solutions based on the fault inference engine, ensuring that production is not disconnected and business is not interrupted.

Since its launch, the Ningde factory has achieved a 10% reduction in delivery cycle, a 48% increase in production efficiency, a 50% increase in product output, and a 36% reduction in quality defects, effectively avoiding economic losses caused by production shutdowns. Relying on the two major platforms of industrial big data and industrial Internet of Things, using big data/AI as the technological means and interconnectivity as the foundation, we aim to build a "data information value" data empowerment and value-added system, which presents the overall situation of production and operation indicators and risks, achieves dynamic perception, auxiliary decision-making, and intelligent early warning.
